Nipigon Nipigon River, Ontario, Canada
The Nipigon River is the noted for it's very large speckled trout more commonly referred to as 'Brook Trout'. The Nipigon is still one of the best Brook Trout rivers in all of North America, producing trout in the 4 -6 pound range on a regular basis with the possibility of landing another world record of 14 plus pounds.

Fly fishing for Brook Trout extends the entire 32 mile stretch of the Nipigon River descending 300 feet from its out pouring from Lake Nipigon before empting into Lake Superior. Fly fishing is done mostly form a motorized classic 26' river canoe.

Spring season begins June 1 through to June 30.
