Morten Fadum Studio

Morten Fadum’s unique style of artwork incorporates wood sculpture, painting and the art of assemblage. In each original piece, Fadum combines his sculpture of fish or waterfowl with antique sporting accessories to create a nostalgic glimpse back in time.

Morten’s background includes studies in Fish & Wildlife Conservation at the University of Wisconsin and tenure as an upland game technician at the McGraw Wildlife Foundation in Dundee, Illinois. Moving to Colorado where he met his wife, Patti, Morten drew on his past schooling, field work experience and business background to become managing director for the Colorado based Western Sportsmen’s Association with direct responsibilities for the recreational use of two million acres of land. During his years with the WSA, Morten became involved with video documentary filmmaking and after making several documentaries in Colorado and Arizona, the Fadums were invited to spend the summer of 1985 filming three safaris in Zimbabwe.

In 1981, the Fadum’s opened their first sporting art gallery in Colorado Springs where Morten began to develop his style of artwork. Morten’s work has earned numerous awards, gained national recognition and now can be found in galleries, homes, offices and restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. Morten, Patti and their daughter Jemma make their home in Virginia and you can visit their studio via their website atwww.fadum.com. Please visit and see what Morten is up to today!
